Studying aerology
A daily work

Understanding aerology is, firstly, to be an observer, everywhere.
Every ride, every race in the mountains, every car ride is an opportunity to stop to watch the sky, the clouds, the action of the upper air on the natural environment, in order to explain what is happening, with photos or videos.

Outdoors outings

Through our trips in the mountains or the plains, we gather informations which are discussed next. Our outings range from simple hikings to tandem flights, through many walks in high and low mountain ranges, or car drive to track cumulus on its right angle.

Knowledge

In order to study carefully aerology, we also select major or particularly interesting Internet web sites. We use several meteorological source of information for our observations to match up. We also present our work through presentations in the paragliding clubs and associations or through our publications.

Informations

Collecting information is to taking hundreds of photos, carefully writing down the places and times, making videos or several sequences of photographs, experimenting with new angles of shots, or composing panoramic photos. It's also going around to see how massive cumulus clouds behave on the other side of the mountain range...
