This section provides information on the natural environment, useful for the practice of our sport.

Presentation of the mountain flora can provide guidance on altitude, nature of the land and
slopes through interesting specific observation of the vegetation.

Local effects of aerology on vegetation

Breezes, wnds, snow, rain, all these have a visible impact on the vegetation. We will present soon on these pages how to link clues, just under our eyes, and aeological phenomena of the area. These critical elements are often essentiel when preparing long cross country flights.

Mountain flora at low and high altitude

Do not go anywhere in the mountains ! Search for thermaling areas and interesting zones, during a walk or even in flight. Through our trips in the mountains, we present some common species of mountain plants (French Only at this time) that provide information on the nature of the underlying terrain. You will not try thermaling over a wetland anymore !

Identification of natural areas from the sky

When flying, it is often useful to identify the places where you can land safely. Depending on the period of the year, it can be difficult to choose a particular area.
